Typical food from my conunry

In Poland we have a lot of specific dishes. To prepare dishes we use a lot of potatoes, sauerkraut, tomatoes, beets and different types of meat. Dinner contain of two parts: soup and main dish. Soups are żurek, barszcz czerwony and krupnik, the main dishes are bigos, kotlet schabowy and pierogi. Ours desserts are makowiec (cake with ground poppy), sernik (cake based on quark) and faworki (thin and brittle biscuits sprinkled with castor sugar). My favourite is pierogi ruskie.
